Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join as a Float Medical Assistant. The role covers multiple locations within the state/region, delivering clinical support and a guest-friendly patient experience while supporting the primary care team. Travel and flexible scheduling are essential.

The position requires 1 year MA experience, MA program graduation, CPR/BLS at start date, and preferred phlebotomy skills. Join a team focused on quality care and patient access.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with blood draws and injections; assist with procedures.
• Administer medications/immunizations under provider order.
• Develop patient care plans with the care team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data per guidelines and communicate results to patients.
• Process test results and relay timely results via e-message, mail or phone.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
