Job summary

Upperline Health Inc. in New Castle, IN is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians across the clinic setting. This role includes clinical and administrative tasks and may travel to nearby Muncie and Richmond clinics.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic exposure, x-ray experience, and strong communication skills. You will assist with exams, vitals, documentation in athenahealth EMR, and care coordination to support our value-based care model.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic exposure preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• EMR experience with athenahealth preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Perform exam intake, review histories and current concerns.
• Take vitals and document in EMR (athenahealth).
• Assist physicians in exams and take x-rays when needed.
• Handle routine admin tasks and room sterilization.
• Support care coordination and patient outreach.
