Job summary

Upperline Health in Carmel and West Indianapolis seeks a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians with clinical and administrative tasks. The role requires flexibility to travel between clinics and assist with x-ray procedures as needed.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic clinic experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency with EMR systems such as Athenahealth. Weekday clinic hours and team-oriented care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Proficient in medical terminology and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits.
• Complete intake by reviewing medical and social histories.
• Record vitals and document in Athenahealth EMR.
• Assist podiatric physician with exams and X-ray procedures as needed.
• Restock exam rooms and dispose of waste daily.
