Upperline Health Inc. is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering high-quality care. The role covers Valdosta, Fitzgerald, Douglas, and Waycross as needed, performing clinical and administrative tasks to keep clinics efficient.

The ideal candidate has MA experience, podiatry/orthopedic exposure, X-ray skills, and proficiency with EMR systems (preferably Athenahealth). Excellent communication and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant; MA Certification is a plus.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake: medical, social, surgical history and HPI.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Take and develop x-rays and assist in the exam room as required.
• Perform daily administrative tasks (stocking exam rooms, disposing of trash).
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient and daily.
• Meet quality measures and audits.
• Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support as needed.
• Connect patients to Care Navigators and Nurse Practitioners when needed.
