Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians across clinic sites including Perimeter, Piedmont, Emory, Stockbridge, Fayetville, Tucker, and Macon. The MA will perform clinical and administrative tasks, assist with exams, take X-rays, and coordinate patient care.

Flexibility and teamwork are essential. Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic experience, X-ray skills, and familiarity with athenahealth EMR in a fast-paced specialty care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal.
• Experience caring for geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician visits.
• Complete exam intake including medical, social, surgical history and current illnesses.
• Record vitals and documentation in EMR (athenahealth).
• Assist physician during exams and take x-rays as needed.
• Restock exam rooms and manage exam room cleanliness.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after use and daily.
• Perform care coordination tasks and patient outreach.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support as needed.
