Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Float to support multiple centers across the region. You will collect medical information, perform screenings, vaccinations, and EMR documentation, and collaborate with care teams to ensure efficient patient flow.

The role requires MA certification, CPR/BLS, EMR experience, and US work authorization. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a patient-centered network.

Qualifications

State or national certification or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
1 year experience as a medical assistant.
CPR or BLS Certification.
Electronic Medical Record experience.
Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets.
Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics.
US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient patient flow; room patients promptly, complete vital signs, required screenings and medication reviews.
Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests per state regulations.
Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
Participate in care team meetings and process orders for durable medical equipment; request medical records.
Conduct routine QA checks including infection control and center lab maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
