Position Description

Responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physicians' orders and residents' needs. Oversees 24-hour Nursing Services, directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in compliance with Federal, State, and Company regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, assumes responsibility for center operations. Conducts the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Coordinates comprehensive care plans for each resident, ensuring compliance with physician’s orders, regulations, and policies.
• Communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff and monitors practice implementation.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents.
• Attends management meetings to discuss resident status, census, staff, and concerns.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Preferred: Five years in long-term or acute healthcare.
• Minimum: 2 years of nursing supervisory experience.
