Director of Nursing (DON) RN - Registered Nurse - $7500 Sign-on Bonus

Join Shawnee Gardens Healthcare & Rehab Center as a Director of Nursing (DON) RN - Registered Nurse.

Position Overview

The DON is responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services, ensuring quality care in accordance with physician orders, federal, state, and company standards. The role includes 24-hour supervision of nursing staff, overseeing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation), and stepping in for center operations in the absence of the Administrator.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents, complying with all regulations and policies.
  2. Communicate policies and monitor staff practices.
  3. Participate in admission decisions and prospective resident visits.
  4. Attend management meetings to discuss resident status, personnel, and concerns.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the practicing state.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Preferred: 5 years in long-term or acute healthcare; at least 2 years supervisory experience.
