Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) to deliver direct care and clerical health-support services for individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on empowering independence and satisfying personal needs while maintaining dignity and respect.

You’ll work across Cedar Park programs, gain health-care exposure, and benefit from flexible scheduling and paid training. We value compassion, teamwork, and consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Person-centered, patient and kind.

• Positive role model and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate transportation to community activities.

Job Description

A Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) caregiver is responsible for providing clerical and technical support in maintaining health services delivery to individuals as well as providing direct care. The DSP Float provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin provides services

• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Schedule appointments and outings for individuals, coordinate and provide transportation for individuals to and from the community
• Establish and maintain individual’s medical records, both active and inactive, in accordance with established policies and procedures
