Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will encourage independence, safety, and dignity while assisting with daily living activities and personal care.

We offer multiple shifts, comprehensive benefits and paid training. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required; prior experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Comfortable driving to transport persons served as required.
• Background clearance is required as part of onboarding.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for documenting care and collaborating with team.
• Computer skills for documentation and record-keeping are necessary.
• Candidates must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals served.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of those supported.
• Assist with daily living tasks: mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as part of care duties.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
