Job summary

The Float - Direct Support Professional at Kids for the Future provides high quality care to individuals supported, helping them live as independently as possible and maintain meaningful relationships with family and friends. You will travel within the assigned region to ensure coverage and deliver compassionate care in accordance with individual service plans.

Responsibilities

• Covers multiple programs in an assigned region to ensure coverage and high-quality care.
• Provides direct care for individuals with disabilities and supports best care.
• Assists in DSP training and ensures quality delivery of care.
• Monitors health, behavior, and daily living needs and reports changes.
• Safeguards dignity and fosters relationships with families and friends.
• Acts as advocate and adheres to policies and procedures at all times.
• Performs personal cares, including hygiene, appointments, and medication administration.
• Assists with toileting and incontinence care, reporting issues promptly.
• Assists with bathing as per individual protocols and watches for skin issues.
• Supports meal preparation, shopping, and healthy dietary choices.
• Builds positive relationships with individuals, guardians, staff, and leadership.
• Maintains thorough documentation across health tracking, incident reports, and logs
