Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Cook - Float to prepare hot and cold items for patients, residents, visitors, and staff at multiple Benedictine communities in the Twin Cities region. You will also lead Culinary Services Aides and travel to assigned sites as needed.

The role requires versatility with shifts and days that vary, along with a focus on food safety and quality in a hospitality-driven environment. This casual, travel-enabled position supports Benedictine communities across the region.

Qualifications

• Quantity food production experience.
• Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course, or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operates, cleans, and sanitizes foodservice equipment and work area.
• Prepares food following food safety guidelines, diet restrictions and standardized recipes.
• Serves food according to portion control guides and diet restrictions.
• Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
• Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.
