Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Cheyenne seeks an Associate Community Banker to deliver personalized client service by discussing financial needs and offering suitable solutions. This role focuses on maintaining client relationships in line with our Service Commitments and company values.

Responsibilities include opening and maintaining checking and savings accounts, handling teller transactions, processing loan requests, identifying referral opportunities to Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Wealth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Banking or related experience required
• Registered Mortgage Loan Originator per the SAFE Act preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized client service in person or by phone, addressing questions and offering solutions
• Open and maintain a variety of products including checking and savings accounts, IRAs, CDs, and basic credit cards
• Perform teller duties: deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and currency handling
• Engage in conversations about and process new consumer loan requests
• Identify referral opportunities to Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Business Banking, Wealth Management and document activity in CRM
• Build client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
• Ensure accurate work with minimal errors and comply with bank regulations
