Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West seeks a Pharmacist - Float to support Pharmacy Services in a 0.9 FTE capacity. The role involves day-to-day operations, clinical consultation with physicians and nursing staff, supervision of staff, and participation in quality initiatives.

The pharmacist will assist in pharmacokinetic services, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and formulary stewardship, ensuring safe and cost-effective therapies for all patients under senior leadership.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy graduate.
• State of Michigan Pharmacist licensure current or eligible.
• Controlled Substance license current or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, cost-effective medication therapies per policies.
• Develop and maintain clinical pharmacy services and protocols.
• Provide drug information to staff, patients and caregivers.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
• Participate in quality improvement and pharmacoeconomic efforts.
• Oversee sterile IVs, chemotherapy, and unit dose dispensing tasks.
