Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Flight Training Manager to supervise and develop MUAS Jump20 and other training programs. The role focuses on building a competent operator/mechanic workforce through classroom, simulators, and field operations, with strong collaboration across teams.

The position requires 5+ years in adult learning and personnel management, aviation experience, and an Active Secret clearance. Expect significant travel and onsite work in California as programs demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years in Training.
• 5+ years of technical adult learning and education program experience.
• 5+ years of personnel management experience.
• Past experience in manned and/or unmanned aviation (fixed wing or rotary).
• Active Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a professional, cohesive team environment leading to efficient and effective Training.
• Execute concurrent phases of Training for multiple programs with 8–15 instructors.
• Assist the Field Operations team with hiring Field Service Representatives for each class.
• Refine and develop course materials and syllabus content.
• Develop and evaluate Training budgets.
• Ensure Instructors are teaching standardized procedures.
• Travel (International & Domestic) up to 80%.
