Job summary

AV is seeking a Flight Training Manager to supervise and develop the MUAS Jump20 training program and related efforts. The role involves coordinating classroom academics, simulators (in person and remote), and field operations, while guiding instructors and ensuring effective training outcomes for government and commercial customers.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in adult learning and management, aviation experience, and the ability to lead transformative training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent years of experience in Training.
  • 5+ years of technical adult learning and education program experience.
  • 5+ years of personnel management experience.
  • Past experience in manned and/or unmanned aviation as Operator, Pilot, Flight Engineer or Mechanic.
  • Broad knowledge of learning techniques.
  • Proven experience of delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage, lead and motivate a team.
  • Project management and customer service skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with office software and relevant flight software.
  • Available for CONUS/OCONUS travel; clean driving record.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a professional, cohesive team environment for Training.
  • Execute concurrent training phases for multiple programs with 8-15 instructors.
  • Assist Field Operations with hiring Field Service Representatives.
  • Refine and develop course materials and syllabus content.
  • Develop and evaluate Training budgets.
  • Ensure Instructors teach standardized procedures.
  • Conduct after action reports on Training for improvement.
  • Ensure Training area capacity for MUAS Operator courses.
  • Review flight test and customer feedback for improvements.
  • Mentor staff and supervise costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Interact with senior management on cross-functional matters.
  • Travel internationally and domestically up to 80%.
