Northrop Grumman – Launch Vehicles Division in Chandler, AZ, seeks a Systems Engineer Level 4 to lead Flight Test IPT activities, guiding cross-functional teams through design, test, and integration of mission-specific hardware and software for high-visibility flight campaigns.

The role requires active Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP, strong leadership, and proven program management to balance cost, schedule, and risk while coordinating with U.S. and international partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with 8 years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience
• Ph.D. with 4 years of relevant experience
• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain SAP
• Experience leading technical teams and IPT leadership
• Experience with DoD systems engineering requirements
• Experience developing and directing engineering on a program with design, development, testing, and delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and leadership execution for Flight Test activities across cross-functional teams
• Engage stakeholders to define test objectives and derive mission requirements
• Oversee design, build, test, and integration of mission-specific hardware and software
• Coordinate with U.S. and international partners for technical and programmatic goals
• Provide clear communication on risks, decisions, and program updates
• Maintain high standards of performance, detail, and written/verbal communication
• Manage schedules, costs, and resources to meet program milestones
