Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Chandler, AZ seeks a Systems Engineer – Level 4 to lead mission planning and execution for a key program onsite. The role focuses on defining system requirements, managing changes, and coordinating with IPT leaders and government customers to ensure mission success.

You will create and manage requirement documents, mentor teammates, perform analyses, and present at milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in a STEM discipline with applicable years of experience
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application
• Experience developing requirements and designing missions without customer-directed requirements
• Experience with requirements decomposition and allocation
• Experience with mission timelines and mission CONOPs
• Experience with range safety data products

Responsibilities

• Serve as Mission Manager for the program moonlight in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
• Develop system requirements and manage requirement changes in the Requirements Management databases
• Collaborate with IPT leaders, team members, and government customers
• Mentor and train junior staff and drive tasks to completion
• Create and manage specification/interface documents and coordinate approvals
• Implement and manage system requirements in DOORS
• Support risk management and trade study processes
• Contribute to system design analyses, verification, testing, and anomaly resolution
• Prepare materials for major milestone meetings
