Job summary

Reliable Robotics in Mountain View, California, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering team. You will design, test, and fly advanced mechanical systems with cradle-to-grave ownership, from concept through flight test and certification.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2+ years of experience, plus proficiency with CAD and FEM, and strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience developing mechanical systems.
• Experience with CAD and FEM packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications to enable remote piloted aircraft.
• Collaborate with mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, GNC, Manufacturing, and Flight Test engineers.
• Own hardware from concept through flight test and certification (cradle-to-grave).
• Demonstrate humility and willingness to learn and teach.
