Job summary

Reliable Robotics seeks a Flight Test Engineer to join the Flight Test and Integration team. You will verify modified flight control systems, begin in the lab and progress to the vehicle, and ensure end-to-end functionality for autonomous flight tests.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering and at least 2 years of experimental flight test experience; travel up to 25% may be needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experimental flight test experience.
• Ability to draft test plans, test cards, and hazard analyses; act as test director.
• Experience with system-level risk assessments.
• Familiarity with Python or similar languages.
• Experience with aeronautical VHF radio procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verify the function and capabilities of modified flight control systems for remotely operated autoflight.
• Ensure end-to-end functionality from lab to vehicle.
• Engage with multiple teams and assess test requirements.
• Serve as responsible engineer for the vehicle and sometimes as test director.
