Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to join the Flight Test and Integration team in Mountain View, CA. You will verify modified flight control systems for remotely operated autoflight, building up from lab to vehicle and ensuring end-to-end functionality.

You will draft test plans, test cards, hazard analyses, and may serve as test director during flights. A strong background in experimental flight tests and system-level risk assessments is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experimental flight test experience.
• Draft test plans, test cards, test hazard analyses, and act as test director during a flight/mission.
• Demonstrated ability to complete system-level risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Verify function of modified flight control systems for remotely operated autoflight.
• Ensure end-to-end functionality from lab to vehicle.
• Engage with multiple teams to assess test requirements and vehicle capabilities.
• Act as responsible engineer for the vehicle and, often, as test director during campaigns.
