Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer to join the Flight Test and Integration team. You will verify modified flight control systems and ensure end-to-end test coverage from lab to vehicle, acting as the responsible engineer and test director as needed.

The role requires 7+ years in experimental flight testing, strong planning and risk assessment skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams across the organization. Light travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experimental flight test experience.
• Prior experience drafting test plans, test cards, test hazard analyses, and acting as test director during a flight/mission.
• Experience with making aeronautical VHF radio calls.
• Demonstrated ability to complete system-level risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Verify the function and capabilities of modified flight control systems for a remotely operated autoflight system.
• Ensure end-to-end functionality from lab to vehicle and assess all test requirements.
• Act as the responsible engineer for the vehicle and, often, as test director during campaigns.
