Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to help drive engineering methods and product quality for high-reliability, safety-critical mechanisms and structures.

You will own hardware from concept to flight test, with cross-functional collaboration across Systems, Avionics, GNC, Software, Manufacturing and Flight Test teams. The role is based in Mountain View, CA, or Seattle, with travel and hands-on build, test, and integration responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years professional experience developing mechanical systems.
• Mastery of at least one area: Design, Analysis, Manufacturing, Test, or Certification.
• Demonstrated successful project ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications.
• Own hardware from conception through flight test and certification (cradle-to-grave).
• Lead cross-functional trades and drive design decisions to closure.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
