Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Manager Test Engineering 2 to lead a flight test instrumentation ops section within a classified portfolio. You will manage build-up, integration, checkout, and operations of large-scale systems, directing 15+ staff and coordinating schedules, spend plans, and proposals.

You will present status to senior leadership, support multiple shifts, and travel up to 10%. A DoD Secret clearance and a strong instrumentation background are required.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in STEM and 9 years relevant experience or MS and 7 years.
• 5 years flight test or instrumentation/electrical fabrication experience.
• Prior management/leadership experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain PAR within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Lead a flight test instrumentation operations section within a classified portfolio.
• Oversee build-up, integration, checkout, and operations of large-scale instrumentation systems.
• Manage staff (15+ direct reports) and develop schedules, spend and staffing plans, proposals.
• Prepare presentations/reports and present status to senior leadership.
