Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Flight Test Engineer to lead planning, coordination and execution of developmental ground and flight tests at Edwards AFB. You will develop test cards, manage schedules and provide crucial test control in real time.

The role requires a STEM degree with relevant experience, strong communication, and an active Secret clearance; options exist for Level 2 or Level 3 roles within the Test & Evaluation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related experience; or Master’s with 0 years.
• For Principal level, 5 years of related engineering experience; advanced degrees may offset experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and IADS or equivalent data analysis systems.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher, eligible for SAP/PAR.
• Strong communication, safety focus, and ability to work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and execution of developmental ground and flight tests.
• Develop and maintain test cards, schedules and documentation; provide test control support.
• Serve as technical focal point in the control room and ensure safe mission execution.
• Coordinate with test operations and other engineering disciplines; supervise test participants.
• Oversee overtime, odd shifts and weekend test schedules as needed.
