Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems at Edwards AFB seeks a Flight Test Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of developmental ground and flight tests. You will create test cards and schedules, ensure safety, and support the control room during missions.

Required are a STEM degree and 2+ years (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3) of related experience, plus an active Secret clearance and SAP eligibility. On-site work with relocation assistance and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of related experience or Master’s with 0+ years.
• Principal level requires 5+ years in engineering; or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance and ability to obtain SAP/PAR.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of ground and flight tests.
• Develop flight test cards, test schedules, and documentation.
• Provide mission control room support and real-time decision making.
• Collaborate with test operations and engineering teams during tests.
• Oversee test participants to ensure efficient missions.
