Job summary

CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician II for the Dallas, TX area. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and related devices at the CAE Training Center.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent training, 2–4 years of relevant simulator/electronics experience, ability to read schematics, operate test equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training is required.
• 2 years of direct simulator experience or 4 years in related electronics/avionics/automated systems is required.
• Experience troubleshooting at component and system levels.
• Ability to read, interpret, and use schematics and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Experience operating electronic test equipment.
• Soldering and circuit board repair experience is needed.
• Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office.
• Customer service orientation with strong attention to detail.
• Able to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work at the Dallas location.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve routine simulator issues and assist with complex problems.
• Execute non-aircraft-specific pre/post-flight tasks as assigned.
• Conduct visual alignments and evaluate QTGs.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Train technicians in foundational technical skills.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
• Provide timely customer support and travel as required.
• Complete administrative tasks and pursue ongoing development.
