Job summary

CAE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the Dallas Training Center. You will diagnose issues, conduct pre/post-flight tasks, and execute QT procedures while documenting activities in the CMMS and assisting with refurbishment projects.

You will learn and comply with the CAE Quality Management System and support logistics, equipment testing, and end-user needs, including potential travel up to 10% as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience related to simulator maintenance, electronics, avionics, automated systems, computer networking, or troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
  • Basic experience operating electronic test equipment.
  • Basic soldering and circuit board repair skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to support end-user needs effectively.
  • Ability to work at the primary location in Dallas, Texas.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and related devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve routine issues affecting simulators and related systems.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on assigned simulators.
  • Conduct basic visual alignments and execute QT Guide procedures.
  • Use the maintenance management system to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete training and development activities and assist with refurbishment projects.
  • Provide customer support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate repairs and testing; perform logistics tasks including receiving parts.
  • Maintain simulator cleanliness and housekeeping standards as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with the role.
