Job summary

CAE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the CAE Training Center in Dallas. You will work in the Technical Services department within Civil Training and Services, ensuring equipment readiness and safety.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, conducting pre/post-flight tasks, documenting maintenance in the CMMS, supporting refurbishment projects, and collaborating with customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience related to simulator maintenance, electronics, avionics, automated systems, computer networking, or troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, prints, and schematics.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
• Basic experience operating electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on flight simulators and associated simulator systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving routine issues affecting simulators and related systems.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on assigned simulators.
• Conduct basic visual alignments.
• Execute automatic QTG procedures.
• Use the CMMS to document and track maintenance activities.
