Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Proficiency with Linux OS
• Experience with Linux system administration (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu)
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide software engineering support to the 53d TEG Experimental Operations Unit (EOU)
• Coordinate with US Government and vendors to ensure flight simulation software meets requirements
• Ensure flight simulation software meets requirements and performs as expected through tests and experiments
• Analyze data from simulations to assess aircraft performance and identify improvements
• Troubleshoot and debug software during development, integration, and testing
• Gather feedback from pilots and SMEs to improve realism, usability, and training effectiveness
• Manage software configuration and version control for stability and traceability
• Generate clear experiment reports summarizing results and recommendations
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of operators, maintainers, engineers, and analysts
• Install, configure, and maintain servers/workstations; perform security hardening and audits
• Manage user accounts and access controls; automate routine tasks with scripting
• Establish and maintain container engines like Docker and Podman
