Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a regulatory and flight safety professional to lead regulatory approvals for the New Glenn program. You will collaborate across teams to develop safety analyses and ensure compliance with FAA OST and USSF/NASA interfaces.

You will perform trajectory analyses, debris risk assessments, probability-of-failure modeling, and DFO/population risk evaluations, producing clear technical reports while supporting government certification efforts in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent technical management field.
• Experience with flight safety analysis process and industry tools.
• Exposure to LOX/LNG explosive yield, overpressure, debris risk, population modeling.
• Understanding of mission design trade spaces within safety criteria.
• Experience with Part 450 regulatory requirements.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. status.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory approvals for the New Glenn program.
• Conduct flight safety analysis studies (trajectory, debris risk, probability of failure, population risk).
• Generate clear, well-documented technical reports detailing analysis results.
• Plan and coordinate flight safety activities for government certification.
• Foster relationships with U.S. government partners (US Space Force, NASA).
