Job summary

Blue Origin in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a regulatory compliance lead for the New Glenn program to secure flight safety approvals with the FAA and USSF. You will perform trajectory, debris, and probability of failure analyses and generate formal technical reports.

You will collaborate with government partners and internal teams to plan safety analyses under tight schedules in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent technical management field.
• Experience with flight safety analysis process and state-of-the-art tools.
• Exposure to LOX/LNG explosive yield, debris risk analysis, probability of failure, population modeling, etc.
• Understand trade space between mission design and safety criteria.
• Experience with regulatory requirements such as Part 450.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Use excellent judgement and be comfortable making high-quality and high-velocity decisions.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong track record of product ownership.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

• Conduct flight safety analyses including trajectory analysis, debris risk assessment, probability of failure modeling, and DFO/population risk evaluations.
• Generate clear, well-documented technical reports summarizing analysis results.
• Lead regulatory approvals for the New Glenn launch vehicle program with FAA/OST and USSF.
• Develop positive relationships with government partners (US Space Force, NASA) across the program.
• Plan sophisticated flight safety products for government certification requests.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure safety analyses meet requirements and schedules.
