Job summary

Input Technology Solutions in Wallops Island, VA seeks a Flight Safety Analyst to support the Safety & Mission Assurance Office at Wallops Flight Facility under GSFC. You will coordinate safety analysis for guided and unguided launch vehicles from definition to launch.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years in orbital/sub-orbital risk analysis, strong communication and math skills, and experience with TAOS, MATLAB, and range safety tools.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five or more years in orbital and sub-orbital vehicle risk analysis.
• Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills required.
• Strong mathematical ability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify flight hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
• Perform risk analyses and develop flight safety plans with mission rules.
• Advise on compliance with GSFC/WFF Range Flight Safety criteria.
• Adapt analysis methods for unique project requirements.
• Collaborate on conceptual studies and detailed analyses for new systems.
