Job summary

Relative Dynamics is seeking a highly motivated flight safety analyst to join the Safety & Mission Assurance Office at Wallops Flight Facility, VA. You will serve as a flight safety analyst for both guided and unguided launch vehicles, coordinating risk analyses from design to launch and operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics and 5+ years of orbital/sub-orbital risk analysis experience, with strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mathematics required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in orbital and sub-orbital vehicle risk analysis.
  • Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify flight hazards and assess risks for aerospace tests and operations.
  • Prepare risk analyses and flight safety plans defining limits and mission rules.
  • Analyze mission objectives to ensure compliance with GSFC/WFF Range criteria and advise range users.
  • Conduct conceptual and detailed analyses for advanced systems on proposed projects.
  • Develop technical briefings and comprehensive reports for review panels and management.
