Job summary

Relative Dynamics is seeking a flight safety analyst to join the Safety & Mission Assurance effort at Wallops Flight Facility. You will lead risk analyses for orbital and sub-orbital launch vehicles, and translate results into actionable safety plans.

Collaborate with senior analysts, deliver technical briefs, and ensure compliance with GSFC/WFF criteria. A 5+ year background in flight risk analysis and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mathematics.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in both orbital and sub-orbital vehicle risk analysis.
• Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Flight Hazard Identification & Risk Analysis for launch vehicles.
• Develop risk analyses and flight safety plans for missions and programs.
• Prepare casualty expectation and protected area impact studies.
• Analyse mission objectives to ensure compliance with GSFC/WFF criteria.
• Collaborate with senior analysts on conceptual definition studies and complex analyses.
