Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Development Technician to design, build, and maintain hardware supporting HITL, hardware development, and EMI engineering teams. The role involves building test systems, wiring harnesses, and performing PCB rework, with strong emphasis on reading schematics and following procedures.

The candidate will work on flight avionics hardware, support production processes, and participate in qualification campaigns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Experience using electronics equipment (DMMs, scopes, analyzers, supplies, DAQs) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build test systems, electromechanical assemblies, and test fixtures.
• Design/build electrical harnessing for flight avionics acceptance tests.
• Perform rework on PCBA units.
• Design/test system wiring diagrams and document test equipment.
• Interpret engineering docs and provide feedback to designs and docs.
• Read and work from procedures, schematics, BOMs, and drawings.
• Monitor progress to meet on-time delivery goals.
• Assist development of production processes for first-time runs.
• Support qualification tests by setting up tests and running software.
