Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne seeks an Avionics Development Specialist to design, document, build, and maintain hardware supporting HITL, hardware development, and EMI engineering across vehicles.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, building test systems and harnesses, and supporting qualification campaigns. Strong PCBAs troubleshooting and Python/C++/LabVIEW skills are preferred; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Design, build and document test systems and fixtures.
• Experience with PCBAs, PCBA layouts, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, C++, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics and procedures to support HITL and testing.
• Design and build test fixtures, enclosures, and harnesses.
• Set up tests, run software, and interpret results for qualification tests.
• Rework PCBAs and update design revisions to fix issues.
• Develop 3D printed fixtures to support development testing.
