SpaceX is seeking an Avionics System Engineer, HITL (Starfall) in Hawthorne, CA. You will design HITL systems for in-house avionics hardware, and develop software to monitor, validate, and automate deployment across HITL hardware and PXI racks.

Expect fast-paced work while solving complex reliability challenges in real time. The role requires a degree in engineering/CS/physics and 1+ years in hardware or electronics testing, plus 1+ year of Python programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or physics.
• 1+ years hardware development or electronics test engineering experience.
• 1+ years of Python programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop HITL systems for avionics hardware that will fly to space.
• Develop software to monitor and validate HITL performance.
• Develop Python automation to deploy software to avionics boxes and PXI chassis.
• Design HITL harnessing connecting avionics boxes to the flight vehicle.
• Triage and repair electrical hardware issues on HITL tables on a production schedule.
