Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Starlink Aviation Test Technician to build test systems and infrastructure for Starlink Aviation products. You will produce, deploy, and maintain test racks, fixtures, and harnessing based on engineering drawings and internal systems.

You will work with design and certification engineers, FAA and enterprise partners to advance SpaceX’s mission of providing global aviation connectivity. Strong electromechanical experience and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hardware testing experience preferred.
• Hands-on with harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs, test stations.
• Strong documentation and communication to improve designs and processes.
• Awareness of AS9100/IPC-620/J-STD-001 qualifications.
• Experience with electromechanical build processes and lab tools.

Responsibilities

• Build wire harnesses, PCAs, test racks, robotics, and environmental equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software, update docs, train line technicians, perform maintenance.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and respond to critical requests.
• Interpret sources from formal docs to informal sketches for tests.
• Identify design gaps and update documentation to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly work area.
