Job summary

Barrios Technology in Houston, TX seeks a Project Engineer - Flight Projects to join our aerospace team. You will develop project documentation, maintain drawings and procurements, and ensure requirements are met through collaboration with design and analysis groups.

Responsibilities include hardware inspection, test rig setup, data analysis, and supporting flight certification procedures with NASA centers. This role requires a US citizenship and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years in aerospace or related field.
• Experience developing requirements documents and verification criteria.
• Experience with space hardware design, assembly, testing, and operation.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, sketches, materials, and CAD tools.
• Able to prepare written documents and present at meetings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Develop project documentation and maintain status of drawings and procurements.
• Collaborate with design team and analyst to meet project requirements.
• Inspect hardware upon receipt to verify conformance with drawings.
• Assist with test rig setup and data analysis of results.
• Support configuration control of project documentation.
• Develop test procedures and coordinate with JSC for flight certification.
• Prepare presentations and report progress to team lead.
