Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years full-time paramedic experience in a high-demand emergency service.
• At least 1 year of LifeFlight experience as a Flight Paramedic.
• Valid PA Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in PA.
• ACLS, PALS, and either PHTLS or ITLS are required.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Clearance requirements (Act 34, Act 33, Act 73) and NRP within 1 year; flight paramedic certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced critical care life support and medical care per standards and PA DOH regulations.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to plan safe transport from presentation to disposition.
• Represents LifeFlight with professionalism per AHN behavior standards.
• Ensures safe transport and maintains situational safety around aircraft and emergency vehicles.
• Participates in quality assurance activities, chart audits, and LEAN initiatives; completes annual training.
• Completes documentation per departmental and state regulations.
• Maintains transport readiness by stocking medications and equipment.
