Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Flight Paramedic for the Life Lion critical care team. You will autonomously provide critical care support during scene responses and interfacility transports by air or ground, under established protocols.

Requires 5 years ALS paramedic 911 experience, PA paramedic credential, and NIMS 100/200/700/800; FP-C within one year. Shifts are 12 hours with night differential and transport differential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience required.
• Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) 911 experience required.
• Valid Paramedic credential within the Commonwealth of PA; NR-P must obtain PA credential.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 required.
• Paramedics must obtain FP-C within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously provide Critical Care Life Support and/or stabilization of adult and pediatric patients for scene responses and inter-hospital transports using air or ground units.
• Collaborate with health care team members to ensure continuity of care and maximize positive patient outcomes.
• Follow established protocols and participate in problem solving and treatment implementation as needed.
• Maintain necessary licensure and certifications (PA paramedic credential, NIMS components, FP-C within one year).
