Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our Oklahoma team. The role requires pre-hospital and in-hospital ALS care with thorough documentation and active participation in mission briefings. You will ensure equipment readiness, safety, and collaboration with EMS, hospitals and crew on every flight.

Minimum three years in 911 or critical care is required. Relevant licenses, certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) and FP-C within 24 months are essential; instructor certifications are

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Be knowledgeable in use and maintenance of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Function as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot support as needed (radio, navigation, observation).
• Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, staff, patient and equipment before liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as required.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the area as directed by the Regional Director.
