Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam seeks a Flight Paramedic in Oklahoma to transport patients and perform on-scene call work. You will provide advanced life support and document care during dispatches while maintaining licensure and safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care, daily base checks, and collaboration with pilots. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer care is required for this high-responsibility role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certs required prior to flight status.
• FP-C required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety and advanced procedures.
• Knowledge of equipment and routine maintenance used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Function as a medical flight team member and participate in mission briefings.
• Attend pre-mission liftoff checklists and assist pilots as needed.
• Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, crew, patient and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as directed by Regional Director.
