Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting required.
• EMT-P license/certification in states served by the area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to transfer of care while maintaining documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures documentation.
• Manage equipment and supplies used by the emergency programs.
