Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a seasoned EMS professional for Evergreen, Alabama, delivering pre-hospital advanced life support in a high-stakes, helicopter-based setting. You will operate within CBS medical director guidelines while maintaining rigorous safety standards and documentation.

You must meet the EMT-Paramedic requirements, hold necessary licenses, and be prepared for ongoing education and on-call duties—travel up to 5% of the time as needed. This role supports community lifesaving missions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least three years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent education/experience
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to handoff to the receiving facility
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation
• Attend pre-mission liftoff checklists and assist the pilot as requested, including radio and navigation support
• Maintain equipment knowledge, report failures, and ensure supplies onboard aircraft
