Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic in Oklahoma to transport patients by air and perform scene calls. You will deliver advanced life support, complete patient care documentation, and work within a high-safety, professional team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within required time frames.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency via ongoing training and education.
• Maintain licensure/certification/education documentation as required.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight crew member and participate in pre-/post-mission briefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards to secure crew, patient and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings when required.
• Fill open or vacant shifts as directed by Regional Director.
