Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our air medical transport team in Oklahoma. You will provide advanced life support from scene calls through hospital handoffs and participate in mission briefings and debriefings.

The role requires active EMT-P licensure with required certifications, and FP-C within 24 months. Expect to perform base checks, maintain documentation, and support crew safety and patient care on flights across assigned regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a911 or critical care setting.
• EMT-P license/certification in the states served is required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certifications required before flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months from hire date.
• Instructor certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotics count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to transfer of care.
• Maintain competency through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and advanced procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre/missions briefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support as needed.
