Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Obion County, TN is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join our air medical transport team. You will provide advanced life support and in-flight patient care, performing pre-hospital and inter-facility care, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Starting pay is $21.32 per hour with DOE plus a $5.00 hourly area stipend. Requires FP-C within 24 months, EMT-P license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP; NREMT-P may be required. This role demands high safety standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required timeframe.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff, with thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Act as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot support when needed.
