Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Paramedic in Oklahoma. The role requires at least three years in 911/critical care, an EMT-P license in the states served, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP competencies with FP-C planned within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• EMT-P license required in states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required prior to flight status.
• FP-C certified within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required time frame.
• Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff, document thoroughly.
• Maintain competency through ongoing labs and clinical experiences.
• Keep licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and protocol documentation up to date.
• Be familiar with equipment and supplies used by emergency programs and their routine maintenance.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot support (radio, navigation, visual observations).
• Adhere to safety standards to protect self, crew, patient, and equipment.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed and fill shifts as directed by Regional Director.
